    • Opened Rajkot College and Mayo college at Ajmer for Political Training of Indian Princes.
    • Establishment of Department of Agricultural and Commerce. 


●  Lord Northbrook (1872-1876)
    
    • 1872 - Kuka Revolt took place in punjab. 


●  Lord Lytton (1876-1880)
    
    • Passed Vernacular Press Act - 1878.
    • He was known as Viceroy of Reverse Character.


●  Lord Rippon (1880-1884)
    
    • The first Factory Act - 1881. 


●  Lord Dufferin (1884-1888)
   
    • Establishment of The Indian National Congress.

    • 1911 - Transfer of Capital from Calcutta to Delhi.
   • 1915 - Establishment of The Hindu Mahasabha by Madan Mohan Malaviya. 


●  Lord Chelmsford (1916-1921)
    
    • 1916 - Lucknow pact (between the Congress and Muslim League.
    • 1919 - Jallianwalla Bagh Massacre.
    • Appointment of SP Sinha as Governor of Bengal. (First Indian Governor)


●  Lord Reading (1921-1926)
    
    • 5th February, 1922 - Chauri Chaura Incident.
   • 1922 - Establishment od Swaraj Party by CR Das and Motilal Nehru.
