There are always 2 ways of reaction that can be received after a crucial decision. IN FAVOR OR NOT IN FAVOR. Agnipath is a new scheme announced by the BJP-led Government of India. There are some people out there who support Agnipath and also there are some people who are ready to oppose it. Sometimes Government has to make an important decision even if people oppose it. In this post, we will see some Positive and Negative sides of the Agnipath Scheme. But in the end, we should not think of individuals but of Nation's Development.

 


Positives - 

1) India will have a Young, Energetic, Risk-taking Army. 

2) After a long period, Indian citizens will have military Training as 75% of Agniveer get to retire or Completes the 4-year term. It will help counter Terrorist Attacks.

3) Good Salary and package also Good Amount of Insurance (44 lakhs for non-contributory life insurance and additional 44 lakhs for death attributable to service) corpus of 11.71 lakh will be given after 4 Years (Exempted from Income Tax).

4) Country will Save money by solving the problem of pensions.

5) More youth will get a chance to serve Nation in Tri-Services by wearing uniforms.

6) New youth will have qualities of the Armed Forces like discipline, Ethos, Risk Taking, confidence, etc...

7) Armed Forces will get the best soldiers, sailors, and Airmen out of selected Agniveer for regular Cadres. It will increase the quality of the Armed Forces.

8) Youth will have enough money to start some small or moderate businesbusinessess to counter unemployment.

9) It will help in Nation Building and National Integration.

10) Citizens who want Military Training, Discipline Ethos and other qualities of the Armed Forces can have the opportunity to achieve it.

11) Industry leaders including Anand Mahindra, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, and Harsh Goenka announces Employment Opportunities for Agniveers (Preference in private Industry)

12) Compensation would be given based on % of the disability laid down by medical authorities for example  100% - 44 lakh, 75% - 25 lakh, 50% - 15 lakh.

13) Agniveers will have unique skills gained from a certificate.

14) 25% of Agniveer who will get enrolled in regular Cadres will get the same benefits as regular Soldiers.

15) Youth will be dynamic, motivated, fit, and skilled.

16) They would have reservations in CAPF, Coast Guard, and Defense Civilians.

17) Agniveers will get an opportunity to join Merchant Navy after completing 4 Years.

18) Agniveers will receive a uniform allowance, access to a canteen, medical care, and a hardship allowance.

Negatives - 


1) Job will not be secure as tenure is only 4 years.

2) Fully Trained Agniveers may harm the Nation in different ways due to unemployment.

3) Recruitment Age is only between 17.5 to 21 years.

4) Only 25% of total Agniveers will get selected in regular Cadre.

5) Agniveers will not get any Pension.

6) The selected candidates will be recruited for the non-commissioned ranks such as Sepoy, Naik, and Lance Naik.

7) There will no extra or basic benefits will be provided to the candidate alike the other government jobs.

8) Agnipath offers tenure only of 4 years.
